Q. OK...I am 14 years old, I have a height of 6'0" and I weight 230 lbs. I desperately need to lose weight, I want to be at my dream weight of: 170lbs. (I am big-boned, my wrist isn't that fat, it is actually, very big-boned) I need to know a few things, when you answer my question.

With your advice, How much will I lose a week? a month?
If any, What exercise does it involve? *Be specific*
What should I eat? If anything...
Do I need to change my way of living?
How long will your diet/routine take for me to notice a change in my body?

Also, I am trying to get skinny for 10th grade, I already wear skinny jeans but, I feel I am too BIG for them...I badly want to wear them but, sadly, I get made fun of sometimes, I really want to wear skinny jeans
ALMOST ANYTHING HELPS, THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION

Thank you, So much...For any answers that you contribute, to help me reach my Dream weight, Which *If I work hard enough, isn't to far away* Thanks again.

A. heres what you should be doing to maximise weightloss in the smallest amount of time:
Apple Cider vinegar. After every meal you should have 2 tspoons of this apple cider vinegar in a glass of water and drink it. Try go 3 tspoons if you can. This is a safe acid which will breakdown all the food matter in your belly so that it will burn quicker. Also take 2 tspoons a few minutes before you go to bed so that your metabolism does not stop while you are sleeping. Its very cheap and costs round $2 for 34ounces. (1 litre)

Eat smaller meals more frequently. And i mean alot smaller! Make 1 or 2 of those meals an avocado, thats how small a meal im talking about. Avocado = very important to weightloss.
Eat more in the morning so at night you wont binge, which doesnt help your body AND mind.

Eat close to no carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are what stop fatloss, especially if its a complex carb (sweet potato, broccoli, cauliflower). Potatoes in general are bad for weightloss, white rice recently was found not to be very good for weightloss aswell due to its refinement. So try for brown or raw rice (very good). chips, snacks, chocolate(which most people think is fat but its sugar!), BREAD, juice are also what you should stay away from. Juices because they have nearly the same amount of sugar as coke. look at the back on the nutritional info, it will even tell you it has 11 or 12g sugar / 100ml. In juices this is Fructose sugar, which is the sugar out of apples, oranges, etc WITHOUT the fiber of the apple itself. In every glass of apple juice there is approx 4.5 apples worth of squeezed fructose sugar (juice) and thats not good for you. So an idea there would be to water it down so less sugar (carbs) are going into your system! A friend of mine recently was on the radio and has written a book about his success of losing weight...only by stopping fructose intake. thats it! he did not drink juices, coke, honey, sugar, chocolates etc and had lost 90pounds 3/4 of a year. Pretty amazing, i know. he looks totally different and better.

Keep a steady flow of protein throughout the day. This should come predominently from meats like chicken, fish, and beef aswell.

See if you can get capsules of flaxseed oil from a healthstore/bodybuilding store/supermarket. Take 1-2 capsules of flaxseed oil after each meal aswell, this oil increases the body's ability to burn food. It is very cheap.

Try to get a sports multivitamin or athlete's multivitamin because your body will need all the vitamins it can get from the lack of food and overexhaustion it will endure, when you are dieting and exercising. Only take 1-2 (or whatever is recommended) 30mins after you preworkout meal. Vitamin B is probably most important because it is the vitamin that tells your body to burn carbohydrates for energy and regulate protein to muscles and burn whatsever left.

Drink green tea. Not those popular brands, but try like a china green tea, or a detox green tea and make sure its organic. Just do a detox in general, from healthstore or supermarket, this will give your liver, stomach, bowels a big reboot and your weightloss will go through the roof, but once again it wont be finished in one week, it takes 2 weeks to do it. but you will be well on your way.

In the way of exercises, running will probably not give you any results in short term, but long term it will help out. Doing a mix of resistance training or cardio will give you optimum results. Do weights if your at a gym otherwise there are videos you can download. Dont know how intune you are with the internet world and downloading (rapidshare, torrents, limewire etc), but look up Billy Blanks Bootcamp videos and his taebo videos. If you can download that then this is all you will need to lose the most amount of weight. But go for a 15-20min run before starting the videos because your body's fat burning mechanism does not start until after 20mins of exercise. Do a different video daily (he has 3 bootcamp videos and around 4 or 5 taebo videos), this will stop your body from getting use to the same exercise and increase fatloss, aswell as keep you from gettin bored. These videos increase your flexibility by around 500% which aids in using muscles you didnt even know you had!
If you cant get Billy Blanks bootcamp videos, its basically air-kickboxing and pushups and situps and a whole range of exercises which will help you. Throughout the videos Billy also gives you tips on how to maximise fatloss!

Oh and if you are out of shape, start off slowly or you will burn yourself out and give up. What im trying to say is start little, like 20min walk/slow jog 2 x a day for the first few days. Doing ANY exercise will lead to weightloss aslong as you are targeting the whole body, not specific points, which is why the bootcamp videos work!

After you start losing fat around your stomach then you can start doing crunches, situps, hanging legups etc. This is because you should start noticing your abs when you do the running and videos.

In the first week you should notice your stomach flatten (from the diet)
In the second to third week you will notice your waist decreasing on the sides
Weeks 4 - 6 you will notice weight coming off your legs, forearm/wrists will tighten up, deltoid muscles will increase (shoulders) aswell as quadriceps. Fat from your cheeks will start to disappear.
Weeks 7 and beyond, will continue to lose fat steadily eventually slowing down and 'hitting the wall' where you will have to find a new routine so you can start using other muscles.

In the first 3 days, the body is still using energy from glucose. After that, the liver starts processing body fat. After 3 weeks the body enters in "starvation mode". At this point the body "mines" the muscles and vital organs for energy. There are examples of hunger strikers dying after 50 to 70 days of strike, where the persons stomach was totally consumed, liver decomposed and kidneys consumed aswell.

But you dont want to go down that path... good luck

My life is suffering in all areas due to sex addiction.?
Q. My life is suffering in all areas due to my possible sex addiction.

For years now I have been unable to stop having one night stands, my ways upset alot of people as I target someone to have sex with and cannot focus on anything othen then taking sex from them or the problems caused by doing it, I do enjoy it sometimes, I dont emotionally enjoy it and feel lost and depressed after sex, aswell as solo sex.

I get agressive if I want sex but cannot have it there and then, which make me smoke, drink alcohol and eat alot, Im becoming ill.

Im struggling to build true relationships with people including my son and family member,as Im become very emotionally disconnected due to always thinking about how and who im going to get sex from next...aswell as the act I put of everyday of me being a happy, sexually free, overly convidence woman which stops people knowing the real me who is trapped by sex.

Ive started to fall into an agressivly focused state of mind when I intend to get sex from someone, I worried that it may turn into a form of abuse towards somebody.

I have no idea how to stop this behavior and have a normal sex life,I have stopped in the past a couple of times i think but i easy fell back into it and now its worse and keeps getting worse each time.

A. Sex is not inherently bad. In-fact, many medical professions believe sex is actually quiet healthy. However, obsessive compulsive behavior is bad. Sex addiction is any form of behavioral dependency, that is of a sexual natural. So, compulsive sex, pornography or even masturbation, can be considered a form of sex addiction. Obsessively searching for and consuming pornography or sexual partners can also be a form of addiction.

Addiction takes many forms. Addicts either are maintenance users or they binge. There are addicts who work 60-hours a week, without using and then binge on the weekends.

Addiction can either be a chemical dependency or a behavioral dependency. Sex, and masturbation while considered a behavioral dependency, are also a biochemical dependency. True, it is human nature to enjoy sex, however, not everyone can properly moderate the desire, or amount of sex they have. Addiction is a disease and it directly effects the moderation control, found in the frontal lobe, of the brain.

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV) is used by both psychologists and psychiatrists for diagnosing disorders, such as substance dependence, which is essentially what addiction is. The DSM-IV offers seven criteria for substance dependence.

The seven criteria for substance dependence are:

(1) Tolerance, as defined by either of the following:

(a) A need for markedly increased amounts of the substance to achieve intoxication or desired effect.

(b) Markedly diminished effect with continued use of the same amount of the substance.

(2) Withdrawal, as manifested by either of the following: (a) The characteristic withdrawal syndrome for the substance (refer to Criteria A or B of the criteria sets for Withdrawal from specific substances). (b) The same (or a closely related) substance is taken to relieve or avoid withdrawal symptoms.

(3) The substance is often taken in larger amounts or over a longer period than was intended.

(4) There is a persistent desire or unsuccessful efforts to cut down or control substance use. (Unmanageable)

(5) A great deal of time is spent in activities necessary to obtain the substance (such as visiting multiple doctors or driving long distances), use the substance (such as chain smoking) or recover from its effects.

(6) Important social, occupational, or recreational activities are given up or reduced because of substance use.

(7) The substance use is continued despite knowledge of having a persistent or recurrent physical or psychological problem that is likely to have been caused or exacerbated by the substance.
