How can I resist eating peanut butter?

Q. I'm a binge eater... and when I say binge eater, I'm talking 3500-4000 calories a day. My problem is I love peanut butter, especially peanut butter and banana sandwiches. And I associate peanut butter with cereal (meaning if I have a bowl of cereal, I have to have peanut butter, too) and other desserts so you can see how these binges turn ugly. How can I resist? I honestly crave it ALL the time and eat it at least 2 or 3 times a day, every day. Please help...

A. Peanut butter is good in moderation! It's a good source of protein. What your eating isn't entirely unhealthy. Try a breakfast of 2/3 cup cereal and 1/2 cup milk try not to fill the bowl to the top and dominate the bowl(lol) along with a banana. I love honey bunches of oats with a chopped of banana in it yumm. and then a 2-3 hours later have a slice of whole grain bread toasted with some peanut butter. balancing out your meals throughout the day will prevent binging and keep you full and satisfied. it's all about self control ask yourself if you're really hungry, you may be eating out of boredom find something else to distract yourself. eating 3500 - 4000 calories a day is not good were talking like gaining 1 - 3 pounds per week if youre not exercising 6 - 7 days a week and I mean strenuous exercise! Stop yourself before it gets worse.

I ate ALL this and how bad will it affect my weight?
Q. I feel like crap because I am trying to maintain my weight and was doing good and then totally binge ate today!! I'm 5'11'' and weigh about 135 and exercise regularly. I had
-special k cereal with banana
-lean cuisine pepperoni pizza
-2 fresh strawberries with yogurt
THEN I WENT CRAZY
-almost a whole bag of chocolate turtle chex mix
-peanut butter and banana sandwich w/ ruffle chips
-1 skinny cow icecream sandwich
-grapes with yogurt fruit dip
-4 sugar free mint chocolate covered cookies dipped in peanut butter

I totally lost control and probably had..I'm guessing about 2600-2700 calories. I didn't want to work out today but if I didn't will I probably gain weight from this??? How many calories should I normally eat if I workout about 30 minutes a day?

A. Heh, I almost laughed a little. =D

You're body won't change from one day's change in diet. I ate a gallon of ice cream one day while being all alone and I only suffered a major brain freeze. No weight/fat gain I'm positive. Just exercise tomorrow and you'll be just the way you were. But don't do this too often. ; )

What did you eat on one of your worst binges?
Q. For me I ate- honey flavored turkey, meat, chicken, wheat bread, apricot preserves, peanut butter, cream cheese, 3 musketeers mini bars, nutri grain bar, special k bar, handful of special k cereal, handful of apple jacks, strawberries, lettuce. God it was horrible and out of control. I suppose had a sugar rush and I don't know, there may be other factors that caused it I just don't want to type them. How bout you?

A. The question is what DIDN'T I eat? Probably when I went to the Fair and ate 3 corney dogs, fried smores, chicken fried bacon, fried grilled cheese, sausage on a stick, fried banana split, and ... I think that's it. They keep an ambulance at the fair, so I hung around it just in case I went into cardiac arrest. ;) Yes, it was bad but the fair only comes once a year!
