Q. I have stuffed my self with sweets, meats, chocolate, candy, donuts and basically unhealthy foods but I think I lost weight. I exercised for 2 weeks and a half before the 2 day binge eating and lost weight. How?
No, I didn't puke the food out.
No, I didn't puke the food out.
A. After a period of exercising and eating right, it's alright to binge every once in a while. When you diet sometimes your body thinks "hey, I'm starving, maybe I don't really need so much food after all" and it slows down your metabolism. Binging one day should perk your metabolism up as it needs to work harder to burn off all those calories. But if you continue to binge you'll start to gain weight. Try to go back to exercising/diet plan now! And once a week or once every two weeks you can take a day off and eat whatever you like. It's actually good for your body because then it won't think that it's starving. At least, that's what I've read online and what I've been told (it sounds like it would make sense but hopefully it isn't just a bunch of BS.) =D
Does this sound like a good diet and exercise plan?
Q. So i'm 16, 5'2 and 160 pounds. Yes i know i'm fat.
I fell into a deep depression 2 years ago, got kicked out of school and i've been sitting around the house all day everyday eating nothing but junk food since then. I've been suffering from binge eating disorder. I've just got myself a job and i'm getting back on my feet again. I'm starting college in September and i want to lose about 30 - 40 pounds before then.
Now i'm eating more healthily, mostly vegetables, fruits, chicken, brown bread, soup and i will eat red meat 2 days a week. I will drink plenty of water, a cup of coffee in the morning and maybe another 1 or 2 during the day (My coffee is black with 1 sugar) and sometimes a cup of milk before bed. That's probably all i will drink.
I will have 1 day a week (Probably Saturday) where i will eat junk food (Pizza, chocolate, soda, crisps) but i will eat within moderation instead of just eating everything in sight.
I recently joined curves gym, i'm only planning on being there for 4 - 6 months and then i will join a proper gym.
Since i haven't been very active at all in the past 2 years and i'm very overweight, will curves be effective? I'm going 2 - 3 days per week and i'm walking 40 minutes to work and 40 minutes back home 5 days a week. Does that sound like a good exercise plan?
Also does this sound like a good diet/lifestyle change?

A. It certainly is! Good luck!
Is it okay to take a few days off from exercising?
Q. For the last 2 weeks I've been exercising a lot and eating healthy(ish). I've lost 7 pounds so far which is really motivating me to keep going. I normally give up after the two week mark because I get lazy. I took 2 days off last weekend because I was sick, so I'm just wondering if it's okay to do the same this weekend? I used to sit on my a** and binge eat all the time so this is a huge change for me. I just feel like I need to take a few days to myself to relax and be alone with my thoughts. Because I don't have food to rely on anymore, it's been a pretty emotional journey so far and I'm still trying to adjust. Will this affect my weight loss?
A. Of course it is okay! Actually, it is better to take at least one day's rest in a week if you do vigorous exercises everyday. Also, whole point of diet is to keep you going healthy, including your emotion.
