Q. So in every single 'health talk' i've gone to they've all said the same thing, dieting doesn't work. And honestly, i agree 100% because whenever i diet it only leads me to binge and then feel all guilty afterwards. So to lose weight how should i eat without binge eating and dieting?! When i try to diet i cave in after like the second day but i want to lose weight right now so im obviously not going to eat a lot. So what do i do! Haha any personal experience?
Thanks(:

A. The basics of weight loss are not as complicated as people make it out to be. You need to simply change your diet to healthy whole foods, fruits and veggies and get plenty of exercise.
It all depends on what you want to get out of it. Check out my fitness blog for more fitness info and ideas:

How much exercise do you need to lose weight without changing your diet?
Q. I'm 5 5", 132 lbs (female). I want to lose 12 lbs. I eat vegan and dont eat junk food, so i eat healthy but I eat alot so I still consume too many calories to lose weight. I cannot restrict my calories or count them because that leads me to consistently binge eat. How much exercise/day would you recommend for me to lose 1-2 lbs per week without changing my diet? And how much cardio and how much strength training?
A. diet is the way to lose weight. cardio and weight training do not have much affect. you would have to do an hour of cardio a day to lose a lb. a week, and you maynot lose that much depending on intensity and your metabolism. 1 hour med/high intensity+400to500 calories. you would probably burn 100 doing nothing. so thats a defecit of 400x7days a week=2800cals. you need to burn 3500to lose a lb. so maybe with weights you could do 1 to 1 1/2lbs. a week. thats a lot of work for not much weight loss
Do I have to eat breakfast to lose weight?
Q. I HAVE to lose weight, and I know eating breakfast is important to doing so. But the problem is, I have a binge eating problem, and if I eat breakfast I can't stop eating.
What do I do!? I need to eat breakfast, but if I do, I can't stop!

A. Have yourself a decent breakfast of protein and complex carbs. If you don't then a few hours later you are going to be starving and snap. I've done this off and on for YEARS, the one major thing I have learned is that it's much harder to survive the day if you skip breakfast. If you can afford it, try eating out for breakfast because then when it's gone you can't eat more. Pack your breakfast and go eat in the park, no cupboards full of food to tempt you when your finished. Plan your schedule so you don't have time to binge eat, or maybe only buy enough food for the day and don't keep extra food at home. Try binge eating healthy stuff, like cabbage rolls or something. Maybe add a phylum supplement to your diet so you feel stuffed. I get pot head type munchies every night at bedtime so I know lots of tricks to stop eating.
