Q. I know adhd pills do but I want to know if any type of mood disorder pills suppress hunger as well...
A. A number of mental health drugs affect appetite. If you are seeing a psychiatrist, that is a good question to ask him/her. Without knowing which mood disorder you are reffering to, it is hard to say which drugs suppress hunger. Commonly used drugs for binge eating include Prozac, Topamax, and Zonegran. An easy way to evaluate a drug is to look it up along with its tendency to trigger weight gain and/or sedation. Prozac can be used for depression and Topamax is a very mild mood stabilizer that is sometimes used in addition to another drug to offset the other drug's tendency to cause someone to gain weight.
What milligram of topamax do you need to be on to lose weight? I'm on 150 mg.?

Why does Topamax cause weight loss?
Q. Is it because of the lack of wanting food/loss of craving and weird taste in the mouth, or does it do something to the metabolism, or is there not explanation at this time.
Is the taste a metalic taste like Lunesta?
Is the taste a metalic taste like Lunesta?
A. It just makes many people not want to eat as much, something with food cravings, bulimia, binge-eating, mood disorder-related snacking, the chemicals in your brain, blah blah blah, ect. I was on Topamax and I hated it. It did the complete opposite to me.
