Q. The bottle says the maximum dosage is 4, I took 5 today. I only took so many cause I binge ate and I can't purge well yet so laxatives and water are my answer. But is it dangerous to take more than the maximum dosage of laxatives? Can you overdose?
A. All I can tell you is be careful. I ended up being told by a doctor I was like a bulimic due to my addiction to laxatives. I was purging she said without throwing up. A few years my digestive system is worse now in part because of taking them the way I did. Laxatives are fine for casual use, but like any pill just take the recommended and nothing more.

Can taking birth control on certain days of the cycle delay menstruation?
Q. I was prescribed birth control a month and half ago--when I ran out of my first pack I had to wait a few days to be able to refill my prescription and started the new pack immediately the day of.
But, that means I'm taking certain pills at certain doses on different days than I did with my first pack (ex: with my first pack, i'd take the first pill on the first day of my cycle, but then with my second pack i'd be taking the first pill on the 4th or even 5th day of my cycle). Would that cause my menstruation to be delayed? Because I got the PMS, and the binge-eating, and the cramps, but no sign of menstruation so far. :/

A. You should get your period a few days after you stop taking the active pills. It's not technically a real period... it's a side effect of hormone withdrawal. Because you started this pack late, your next bleed will also be late. If you want to keep completely regular cycles (and be protected against pregnancy) you need to start every pack on time. Your pharmacy may be able to fill multiple months worth of your prescription at a time... it's worth asking.
