I've been binge eating for the past three days. How do I stop before I make it a complete habit?

Q. I've been really stressed out for the past days and I have been binge eating like crazy. I used to binge eat a lot, almost every day, but I got rid of the habit for the last two months or so. But ever since a couple of days ago it came back. I'm starting to build the habit again. How do I stop??? Its like in my system and I can't let it go!

A. That's easy!!
when you feel like you want to eat, drink water, your brain sometimes confuses thirst with hunger.
Wear an elastic band around your arm, and whenever you feel like binge eating then ping it!!
And if you want to lose weight, then drink water before you eat, and while you eat.. constantly sip on water.. it REALLY helps!! I'm loosing soooo much thanks to water!!
make water your new best friend!!
Good luck!! =D

How can i stop my night time binge eating?
Q. A typical day for me goes like this : I don't eat at all during the day. No breakfast lunch or dinner. Then around 10pm ill binge. Ill eat four or five meals in one sitting. I consume over 2000 calories during a binge, then the next day I don't eat because I feel so disgusting from the other night, and reapet the cycle. I honestly can't control this. Is there anyway I can break this cycle? I'm gaining a bit of weight from it and I'm desperate to stop

A. All habits take a little time (2-3 weeks) to develop and become a part of our every day lives. Start new habits that include eating proper sized portions earlier in the day.
Your current habit took time to develop you weren't born binge eating right.

With practice your habit of binge eating at night will transition to eating properly throughout the day.

If you get the urge to eat at night you'll need to find something to take your mind off of it. I will usually go for a walk, jog, exercise, read a book or anything else that requires using my hands, because watching TV leaves your hands free to cram into a bag of chips you know what I'm saying?

If I decide to exercise (35-45 minutes minimum) I'll always drink a small whey based protein shake after wards (20-25 grams of protein max) then take a warm shower and go straight to bed.
Ingesting a small amount of protein immediately following exercise will keep your body burning additional stored fat and preserve muscle for a leaner body.
Practice makes perfect and the sooner you start the sooner you'll change your habits.

I used to binge eat, not so i was massively overweight, but i would gain about 2-3 kilos here & there. What seems to work for me is that i DON'T stop myself from eating junk food, cos that tends to be what i binge on eventually! I think the trick is to get yourself into a routine, i have a desk job, which also doesnt help my waistline, especially since i work 10-12 hr days 6 days a week! Because i sit at my desk most of the day, i only eat small amounts of food, & only when i'm hungry. I eat a small bowl of cereal every morning before work (around 8am) then i eat a piece of fruit (apple usually, or a banana) at around 10-11am, then i have a small tin of tuna at around 1-2pm, then another piece of fruit in the arvo around 3-4pm, then dinner whenever i get home. My trick is to eat a snack bar, with chocolate or whatever junk in it, right after my lunch (tuna), & then i am satisfied, my appetite and also my craving for junk food are both satisfied, & yet i only eat a small bar, but its enough to curb any junk food cravings. One bar a day is my junk food, & it works, cos lately i've actually lost weight about 2 kilos, just by sticking to this eating plan! I also drink lots of water, it also helps with losing weight, & is good to be hydrated. I think portion control is a good idea if you have a sedentary-type job like i do, especially if you dont get much time to exercise.
