How to take control of my eating habits?

Q. I'm having a lot of trouble controlling it. There was one point were I had it under control, but then I lost all control. At times I find my self binge eating in the middle of the night. I don't make myself puke or anything, but I have thought about it. I've tried many thing to keep me from eating that way. Drinking water, popping a rubber band on my wrist, I've even chew gum (I hate gum), but nothing seems to work.

I'll be honest I eat the most when I was upset. Some of my friends found out I was hurting myself when I was upset and help me stop, but since then I've been a eater. It's like I take out all emotions into eating food. It's just gotten worse over the years. Got any tips to help control this?

A. You have to make the difference between being hungry and being bored :) And probably it's the second one with you,but I suggest that if you're really hungry but you don't want to eat Drink A TEA !
Cheers

How do I control my sudden increase in appetite?
Q. I do not want to gain weight. I hate fat, and I hate the stress of the possibility of gaining weight. My appetite has been intense since Monday, and I feel like I want to eat all the time. I'm having a difficult time keeping it under control. I guess this would be considered a binge week. I feel disgusted with myself. I like having a low BMI. I like not eating and feeling in control. This week I pretty much loathe my very existence. Please help.

A. It shouldn't be about having a low bmi and hating gaining weight, it should be about keeping your body as healthy as possible. Your body will be with you for a long time and if you want it to not fall apart when you reach 50 you need to look after it. I know what food control is like and I know it can take over your life, I used to have an exercise obsession and then developed anorexia which I had for 7 years. I am over it now but the damage is already done. The lack of nutrients and the over use of my joints exercising has ruined them. My knees give way and my hips get very painful, especially when it's been a wet day, I find it difficult to even run up the street now, where before I had no problem running a mile.
I have to take glucosamine and cod liver oil regularly and have been put on arthritic medication. I am 24 years old, if it's like this now I dread what i will be like when i'm older. Look after your diet, eat plenty of fish, fruit, veg, protein like red meats and natural yoghurt's. Non-processed healthy food will give you everything you need and you won't need to diet as it will keep your body at a good weight. take it from me and sort your diet out now before you ruin your body or this gets out of control

How do I stop binge eating during dinner time?
Q. I eat healthy all day and for reasons I'm not sure of, I tend to eat too much at dinnertime. I know this is why I'm gaining weight, and it's not healthy, but I can't seem to get this under control, any suggestions? Thank you.

A. is someone at hour house a really good cook or something? if the food is reallly good it will be hard to stop, but if someone else tries to learn to cook, you might not be so willing to eat as much for a while until the food quality gets better, by which time you will have developed different habits.
