Q. I know that all babies are a blessing from God. I have been blessed with three beautiful boys and I love them more and more with each passing day.
My sister has one boy and two little princesses and I must admit, I envy her just a bit. I would love to be a mother to a baby girl. I would love to experience that different bond and I'm just curious, as to the success rate of any women who used any natural tactics to concieve a specific gender. Has anyone tried any natural methods to concieve a specific gender, and succeeded? And vice versa. I'm very curious as many are. I have read many other questions such as mine but I'm wondering if maybe, by requesting some details, we may discover a positive spike within a certain method. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Either way, when my husband and I do decide to try, we'll be happy with whatever God gives us. I would just like to see if there is a way to tip the scales naturally. Thanks.

A. the concept of trying for a particular sex is a myth
the science behind it is pretty much that female sperm are larger and slower, male sperm are smaller and faster and also die quicker. the proprotion of sperm in say one load i have no idea but my assumption is that it ranges around 50% each way. so long as the male is eating healthy and not binge drinking his sperm lot for the 3 month period should be good enough to concieve a child outside of fertility issues. the same goes for the mother, a healthy diet etc and no fertility issues.
the only possible, although negligible method i have seen is the use of doggy or deep penetrative methods of sex, basically all this really does is give the smaller male sperm a better chance. so arguably you would do the opposite of this, thus decreasing the male sperms chances of making their target.
irreguardless, roughly 500 are needed to break into the egg and it only takes one to fertilize it.
ultimately most methods are not giong to do much of anything. and sometimes people end up with a whole family of one sex, it just means you get to enjoy your neices more.

How much of the food I'm eating is going to my baby?
Q. My previous question was.. basically I get so unbelievably hungry every couple of hours, binge & stuff my face, and then get hungry again an hour or so later.
Out of all the food I'm eating (I eat til I'm full/stuffed) how much is going to me and how much is going to my baby? I'm 5 weeks.

A. Very little. You don't need that many extra calories while pregnant. "Eating for two" is a myth. If that was the case, you'd have to eat about 4,000 calories per day and you'd be as big as the side of a barn. :) As long as you eat enough (eat when you're hungry) and eat well balanced meals, your baby will get plenty of nutrition. :)
Is there way to get drunk without getting a beer belly?
Q. Drinking spirits instead of beer maybe? Woul this work?
what exactly gives you a beer belly is it the yeast?
what exactly gives you a beer belly is it the yeast?
A. I've done some research on the subject and this is actually pretty interesting stuff......
There is little scientific evidence that beer drinkers are more prone to abdominal obesity, despite it being known colloquially as "beer belly" or "beer gut". In fact, scientific studies have concluded that the association between beer and obesity, if it exists, is probably weak. For example, researchers surveyed almost 2000 Czechs, who are generally regarded as the world's biggest beer drinkers, and found no link between the amount of beer they drink and the size of their stomachs.
How can beer drinkers avoid a beer belly? As diet gurus have told us for years, moderation in all things promotes good health including a healthy body weight and shape. Beer bellies may not be the true result of drinking beer, but beer drinking is certainly an influence over aspects of diet and lifestyle that may cause that jiggly tummy called a beer belly.
Imagine you've been out for the night, you've had a few to drink and suddenly, late at night, you feel hungry. Pubs are full of snacks and kebab joints and late-night takeaways are also perfect for late-night, fatty food binges when you've been ou drinking. THIS is a more viable explanation for beer bellies than the actual beer itself. There is evidence to suggest that this is how people gain weight, from the food that alcohol makes them crave, rather than from the alcohol itself. It's the lifestyle that goes with the alcohol.
As for the stereotypical, large, beer belly shape, scientists also suggest that this is not to do with beer. (or the yeast in beer, as you suggested) Evidence suggests that genetics may have more to do with the this shape that people gain when they put on weight and its association with alcohol consumption is a myth.
So how can you, as a normal person, avoid getting a beer belly? A study by Professor Morton Gronbeck of the Centre for Alcoholic research in Copenhagen shows that if beer drinkers drink in moderation and not in a binge fashion, they will not develop a beer belly.
So it's not really a question of spirits instead of beer. Basically, it's a question of moderation. Eat in moderation, drink in moderation, and this will help you to avoid the dreaded beer belly! (And you can still get drunk, just don't binge drink!)
I've addressed all parts of your question so I hope this helps you out! Happy Drinking! x
