Does anyone know what these symptoms may be indicative of?

Q. I'm experiencing these things and would like some help finding a correct starting point for research.

-nail biting
-anxious
-fatigue
-binge eating
-emotional
-irritable (not all the time)
-normally very active- having a lack of motivation to work out.

A. This isn't the answer you want - but I would say these symptoms show that you're anxious, tired, have a difficult relationship with food. You see, any 'diagnosis' is just an attempt to find a catch-all term to describe what's going on for you and is necessarily very broad because it's got to describe lots and lots of individuals. What is it you are wanting from your research? I would say that the most important thing for you is probably counselling or psychotherapy to help you learn more about yourself and what the issues underlying these symptoms might be. This will be totally individual to you. A 'label' would only help a doctor decide what drugs to give you. Any drugs would only suppress the symptoms and wouldn't help you deal with the issues and hence make life different for the future. Talking therapy is the only way, really.

How do i tell my mum that i binge eat?
Q. I have just researched about the Binge eating disorder? and it turns out i have all the symptoms.. I am so embarrassed its unreal and i don't want to tell my family if there is someone on here who could help me so that i don't have to tell them it would be so good! Please can i not have any horrible comments? i feel bad enough as it is
Im around 10 stone 5? i have stopped weighing myself and im 5 foot 5 <3

A. I know this is probably really hard for you trust me, i used to have an eating disorder. there are alot of websites you can look up that have treatments for binge eating. also, talk to a counselor if you dont want to tell you mom right away, i know it is hard. but she needs to know, if she is understanding she will do anything she can to make everything ok. you can get through this(:

What mental disorder has the following symptoms?
Q. Depression
Unable to get out of bed
Sleeping all day and all night
Emotional binge eating
Suicidal thoughts
Refuse to leave house for weeks/months
Withdrawing from friends and family
Anger episodes - lashing out at people
Not really.. in my opinion depression is a symptom, not a disorder.

This is where your mental disorders come from. The psychiatrist's bible.

I highly recommend counseling from somebody with a alternative pov. In some cases depression is an underlying symptom of a physical disease so seeing a doctor even a sleep doctor is a good idea.
