A. Just from noticing girls in my school, it's the heavy ones that start the earliest. You never said your height, so there's no way I can tell if you're heavy or not, but I'll just assume that you aren't. I can imagine that it would be another year before you get it (which should be a blessing, not a bad thing!)
Generally, I think it can be said that girls' moods change quite noticeably, while other girls' moods may not change at all. Periods are very complex; they are different for different people. Some girls' skin will break out, maybe start to grow pimples or turn red.
Here is what wikipedia says:
"In many women, various intense sensations brought about by the involved hormones and by cramping of the uterus can precede or accompany menstruation. Stronger sensations may include significant menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea), abdominal pain, migraine headaches, depression, emotional sensitivity, feeling bloated, changes in sex drive and nausea. Breast discomfort caused by premenstrual water retention or hormone fluctuation is very common. Binge eating occurs in a large minority of menstruating women. This may be due to fluctuation in beta-endorphin levels. The sensations experienced vary from woman to woman and from cycle to cycle."
also:
"Women may experience emotional disturbances associated with menstruation. These range from the irritability popularly associated with Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS), to tiredness, or "weepiness" (i.e. tears of emotional closeness). A similar range of emotional effects and mood swings is associated with pregnancy."
Hopefully this helped!

Can anyone tell me if they use Celexa and how did it work?
Q. My friend calls them the happy pills and make you more confident.
A. I was on Citalopram (Celexa) Hbr Tab 30mg years ago and discontinued it because I was feeling so much better. I had to start it again just today due to several deaths of friends and family. I am feeling the side effects only after just 7 hours of taking it; heavy yawning, tight jaw, and dry mouth. I am sure insomnia will follow which was the only thing I did not like about this medication before. I started with 30mg each time per my doctor and felt relief from my depression within days because I was able to remove myself from bed and looked forward to and did return to work.
My doctor told me today that the medication would also help with my anxiety, mood swings during PMS and my depression.
Many people normally want to know about weight gain while on this medication. Well, I am a binge eater, I eat when I am happy and I eat when I am sad. I put on weight while I was depressed due to eating many carbs to lift my sprits to the point that eating was all I was thinking about and doing before I did anything else. Having been on it for 7 hours now, it feels great NOT having to think about food 24/7; I hope this part of the side effect lasts. Also, some people put on weight while on depression medication because they feel better and are enjoying life more and with that we celebrate with food often.
Best of luck and keep trying to find the medication that fits you. P.S. This was my forth try at different medications until we got right.

Why do people with bulimia eat a lot of sweets ?
Q. Im not bulimic or trying to be , but i know a few people who are and they are always eating sweets and craving it. its like they enjoy eating the sweets then puking it :l
A. Well i will say with my experience personally the reason i ate sweets is because bulimia is not really about what you eat, don't get me wrong bulimics will eat foods that are easy to purge and avoid foods that are harder to purge. But bulimia is all about control and being in control of things and so eating the sweets that are so bad for us is part of our binge and purge cycle because we can eat tons of chocolate, or whatever and then get rid of it all guilt free. Also most bulimics feel guilty after purging so eating sweets is like a coping skill kinda the same way a girl eats tons of sweets when pms'ing or stressed out.
