Help me with binge eating disorder?

Q. I've had an eating disorder for over two years. As a HS senior, I was nearly anorexic, but now I am totally opposite of that...I have binge eating disorder. I work out so much to try to lose all the weight I put on from binging, and now that I'm in college it makes life so difficult to deal with. I've gained 20 pounds and my health is really dwindling, along with my self esteem. Is there anyone who has experience with this and can help me via e-mail? I'm really looking for a weight loss buddy who I can keep in touch with for support and encouragement. It would really mean the world to me.

A. I know how u feel. I was a lil chubby freshman year so I decided to go on a diet. I lost weight the healthy way and I lost 40 pounds, but I got so obsessed with my weight loss I started purging. I felt so deprived from all good foods that I decided to eat a lot, and then throw it up. I actually ended up gaining back 30 pounds because of this. Now I throw up, but not every day..maybe 3 times a week. I'm a senior this year, and I want to be happy with my image before I go to college. I want a new start, and I want to have a high self esteem before I go somewhere new. If u want to talk..we can try to help out eachother.

True or False: is it true that college freshman gain 15 pounds?
Q. Basically there is a saying that your freshman year in college you will gain 15 pounds or more. Is it true or false?

Thanks for answering!(:

A. I didn't. You only gain weight if you start eating and drinking way more calories than you burn off. If you eat well, exercise a lot and don't go out binge drinking all the time then you will stay slim.

I am 5'8'' and 160 lbs. and a female college student, whats the best way to lose weight?
Q. I was 125 when i started college in 2008 and have gained the weight gradually since then, i worked out a lot in highschool and the beginning of freshman year but just got so busy and stopped going a lot.
I have access to a gym and can eat pretty much anything, no real dislikes.
Any ideas on how to get back down to my starting weight of 125 or even 135?

A. You need to diet and exercise but mostly diet. As being a female college student also, i experienced the same thing as you and gained a lot of weight because your constantly eating out and not being able to cook anything. in high school, your more likely not to do that which is probably why you gained all this weight. i lost weight by doing what i did, so ill just share my advice with you.

you need to eat 5 times during the day to keep your metabolism going. thats important because your body needs food and shuts down when you dont eat. keeping your metabolism going will be the most successful thing you can do while dieting. Take a multivitamin, doesnt matter what kind. I had a hard time eating breakfast every morning but you have to do it! types of food you can eat for breakfast are bran flakes (with fruit if prefered), lowfat or nonfat milk. oatmeal, fruit, wheat toast, egg whites. Try to incorporate yogurt in your diet, such as dannon light and fit,it is really great at shrinking your stomach and it is also very healthy. Foods with a lot of fiber also keep you full so you dont get hungry more than you should during the day

The way you can eat 5 times a day is start with breakfast, have a snack, eat lunch, have a snack, eat dinner. that makes 5 times your eating during the day. Cut out the soda and sugar. Drink water and A LOT of it. really....cut out the soda, it will help a lot. eat lean meat for dinner like chicken. make sure your eating vegetables also. cut out fast food completely from your diet but if you start craving something, eat it because you will binge eventually if you dont.

lastly, do not eat past 8 p.m.

It really is not easy but it will work and you dont have to go to the gym all the time. even if you go once a week, dont kill yourself over it but make sure you stick with it and have your mind set!
