Do you agree with me when I say "We need to celebrate Islamization in the Philippines too"?

Q. It's Ramadan. Sooo we need to respect Muslim culture in the Philippines. I for one will not eat pork and start fasting too.

As a Filipino, what will you do to help commemorate this important season?

A. The government had done their part in that. While the exact article and words elude me as of this moment, there is a special holiday which Muslims are entitled for Ramadan.

As for the Christians with Muslim colleagues, they can at least refrain from blatant food binges. Also it helps to be aware that since Muslims do not eat pork nor consume alcohol, they should take care in serving their Muslim colleagues with food in utensils that have never been touched by both.

How could Christian Bale risk his health for a movie?
Q. I've seen machinist.... It seems he got down some 20 kgs for that skinny look.
he starved himself some 3 months for just a movie... how could he be so dedicated for a movie?
thank you

A. The answer is easy - he's one of those crazy, (and I'm not exaggerating) completely neurotic actors who thinks that dedication to your craft means forgetting all personal safety, including seriously endangering your health. He starved himself nearly to death in that one and dropped over 60 pounds. Then he turned around for his next film, BATMAN RETURNS, and shot up 100 pounds! His body must have loved that. "I had been to a nutritionist and when I had got down to what she had told me was a healthy weight, I just went: 'You know what? I can go more than this. I can keep going.' So I lost another 20 pounds below what she said I should stop at," Bale told the BBC. Even the film's director was surprised; he expected Bale to lose only 10-15 pounds.

Other actors just as mentally unsound: Robert De Niro, set a record for his time by gaining 60 pounds for 1980âs Raging Bull. He put on the weight by going on a âbinge eating tripâ around Northern Italy, ultimately experiencing trouble with his posture, breathing and talking as a result.

Matt Damon proved he could be as dumb as the others... he lost 50 pounds to play the role of a heroin addict in the 1996 movie Courage Under Fire. After the film wrapped, he said on the Oprah Winfrey Show, he had to be under medical supervision for several months for damage done to his adrenal glands.

For the movie, Bridget Jonesâs Diary, Renee Zellweger went from a size 6 to size 14, and said her body âwent all out of whackâ.

When Jared Leto signed on to play John Lennon's murderer, Mark David Chapman, in the 2007 film Chapter 27, he added 67 pounds. Leto would down a large Dominoes pizza every night for dinner, he told an interviewer on Sirius satellite radio. "... I was force feeding myself to such an extent that I would throw up in the back of my throat every day. My body was falling apart, and it was just really bad."

how can i boost my energy without buiding muscle?
Q. I use to be quite slim because i lost 7 pounds from stress and I now eat too much and i binge alot. I count calories all day then binge at a few nights a week. how can i stop this and what can i eat and what exercises can i do to get stronger without getting muscley? thanks :)

A. First, you can't get muscular that easily. There is a common misconception amongst women that you can somehow build muscle easily. In the best physiological environment, a man can gain 0.5lbs of dry muscle a week, according to Christian Thib from T-Nation. Joe Defranco, one of the best athletic trainers in the world, also believes women have this concept wrong that you can get muscular easily. It's very difficult and requires proper training and nutrition.

Second, you're binge eating because you're not eating properly. Aim for volumetrics and not portion control. Portion control is total and utter bullshit. It's an excuse to eat shoddy food to continue putting bad and horrible foods in your body. Volumetrics believes that you should eat as much as you can of healthy foods! You can eat a gigantic salad filled with lean chicken and feel better than you would from eating a big mac meal and hitting your caloric intake for the day. You need to fix how you're eating and starting writing down what and how often you are eating. I'd aim to eat every 3 hours with your biggest meal being breakfast, since it's the most important, and dinner being the smallest, not including the snacks.

Lastly, read this article about women training:

This guy is one of the best of the best. He's amazing.
